Distributech is committed to reducing the environmental impact of all aspects of our business and this commitment extends to the portions of business that we manage on behalf of our clients.  We are continually developing solutions, implementing strategies and taking action to ensure that all of our activity remains environmentally responsible.

The Distributech Supply Chain - To bring advanced and responsible services to our clients, Distributech makes environmental choices that impact every aspect of our supply chain. We consider everything from paper to power to digital equipment procurement.

Recycling - each week, our clients recycle up to 80 tons of obsolete printed marketing materials. We continue to work on reducing this waste, ensuring the most environmentally friendly recycling of this material is a chosen. Distributech and our recycling partners work together to maximize the recyclability of all paper leaving our facilities.

Power - Distributech has recently become Bullfrog powered. Bullfrog sources power exclusively from generators which meet or exceed the federal government's Environmental Choice™ Program EcoLogo™ standard for renewable electricity.  Our power comes from clean, emissions‐free sources like wind power and low‐impact water power instead of from carbon‐intensive sources like coal and oil. We encourage our suppliers and clients to consider the bullfrog option at www.bullfrogpower.com

Digital Printing Equipment - The environmental advantages of digital printing are well established. Digital presses run up to 80% quieter and use less electricity than an equivalent‐sized conventional press. The most significant environmental advantage of digital printing comes from its ability to reduce overall material and energy consumption for printed materials.  Distributech's two major equipment suppliers, Xerox and HP/Indigo, are continually making strides toward minimizing the environmental impact of their equipment.

Paper and Packaging - whenever possible, Distributech uses paper stocks that meet the following industry standards:

  • Chain of Custody
  • Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC)
  • Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI)
  • Program for the Endorsement of Forestry Certification (PEFC)
  • Recycled Papers

Our business exists to serve our customers; to understand their needs, to develop solutions that will add continuous value. Our first priority is to ensure that you receive the highest level of service and satisfaction in everything we do.
